 Sweet Potato Baby Cake
|
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 4-oz. jars of Parent’s Choice Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and sugar 1 bundt pan.
- Mix all of the ingredients except for the nuts (optional).
- After all ingredients are blended, fold in nuts if so desired.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 1 hour.

 Apple Carrot Cake
|
Ingredients (for the cake):
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 4-oz. tubs of Parent’s Choice Apple Carrot baby food
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
Ingredients (for the frosting):
- 1/2 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (16-ounce) box confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and sugar 1 bundt pan.
- Mix together the flour, cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and blend well.
- Pour batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool in pan for 5 minutes. Invert onto lint-free dishcloth, or waxed paper, and allow to cool completely.
- Mix all frosting ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
- Frost layers, top and sides of the cooled cake.

 Apple and Sweet Potato Soup
|
Ingredients (for the cake):
- 2 tsp. flour
- 2 tsp. unsalted butter
- ¾ cup low sodium chicken broth
- Half of one 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Apple Carrot baby food
- 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food
- ½ cup milk
- Pinch ground ginger (optional)
- Pinch ground cinnamon (optional)
Directions:
- Melt butter over medium in a heavy saucepan.
- Stir in flour. Cook, stirring constantly, until the flour/butter mixture turns golden.
- Pour in broth slowly, stirring constantly.
- Add Apple Carrot baby food, Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food, ginger and cinnamon. Bring mixture to a boil, then lower heat until mixture is simmering gently.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in milk, warm through gently, and serve.

 Four Cheese Ravioli with Bacon, Sage and Sweet Potato Sauce
|
Ingredients (for the cake):
- 2 strips bacon
- 1 tbsp. butter, unsalted
- 1 tbsp. sage, fresh (6 leaves)
- 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food
- 9 oz. ravioli
- Parmesan cheese to taste
Directions:
- Cook ravioli according to package instructions.
- Cut bacon into ¼” slices and sauté until bacon starts to crisp.
- Add butter, let foam until slightly brown
- Add Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food and sage, and toss with cooked ravioli
- 5. Top with parmesan cheese and serve

 Macaroni & Cheese
|
Ingredients (for the cake):
- 1 box macaroni and cheese meal
- 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food
Directions:
- Follow instructions on box.
- When mixing liquid ingredients, add Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food, mix well.
- Cook according to instructions on box.

 Apple Carrot Muffins
|
Ingredients (for the cake):
- 1 box muffin mix
- 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Apple Carrot baby food
Directions:
- Add Apple Carrot baby food to recommended amount of water from muffin mix.
- Follow cooking instructions on muffin mix box.

 Oatmeal and Apple Cookies
|
Ingredients (for the cake):
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ¼ cup raisins (optional)
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- Pinch salt
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Apple Pie baby food
- 1 large egg
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Mix the dry ingredients together in one bowl, and the wet ingredients together in another bowl.
- Combine the contents of both bowls.
- Drop mixture by dessert spoonful onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake until firm, approximately 10 minutes.

 Pear and Banana Muffins
|
Ingredients (for the cake):
- ½ cup self-rising flour (or all-purpose, plus ¾ teaspoon baking powder)
- 1 egg
- 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Pear baby food
- 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Banana baby food
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp. milk
- Pinch of cinnamon
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Whisk the oil and egg together in a bowl until thoroughly combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine cinnamon and flour, then stir in pear baby food.
- Gently blend banana baby food with the oil mixture, then combine with flour mixture.
- Add milk.
- Grease a muffin tray, then spoon in mixture.
- Bake for around 20 minutes, or until golden and firm.
