   Sweet Potato Baby Cake

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 4-oz. jars of Parent’s Choice Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and sugar 1 bundt pan.
  2. Mix all of the ingredients except for the nuts (optional).
  3. After all ingredients are blended, fold in nuts if so desired.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 1 hour.

   Apple Carrot Cake

Ingredients (for the cake):
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 4-oz. tubs of Parent’s Choice Apple Carrot baby food
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
Ingredients (for the frosting):
  • 1/2 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16-ounce) box confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and sugar 1 bundt pan.
  2. Mix together the flour, cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and blend well.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool in pan for 5 minutes. Invert onto lint-free dishcloth, or waxed paper, and allow to cool completely.
  7. Mix all frosting ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
  8. Frost layers, top and sides of the cooled cake.

   Apple and Sweet Potato Soup

Ingredients (for the cake):
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • 2 tsp. unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup low sodium chicken broth
  • Half of one 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Apple Carrot baby food
  • 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food
  • ½ cup milk
  • Pinch ground ginger (optional)
  • Pinch ground cinnamon (optional)
Directions:
  1. Melt butter over medium in a heavy saucepan.
  2. Stir in flour. Cook, stirring constantly, until the flour/butter mixture turns golden.
  3. Pour in broth slowly, stirring constantly.
  4. Add Apple Carrot baby food, Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food, ginger and cinnamon. Bring mixture to a boil, then lower heat until mixture is simmering gently.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Pour in milk, warm through gently, and serve.

   Four Cheese Ravioli with Bacon, Sage and Sweet Potato Sauce

Ingredients (for the cake):
  • 2 strips bacon
  • 1 tbsp. butter, unsalted
  • 1 tbsp. sage, fresh (6 leaves)
  • 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food
  • 9 oz. ravioli
  • Parmesan cheese to taste
Directions:
  1. Cook ravioli according to package instructions.
  2. Cut bacon into ¼” slices and sauté until bacon starts to crisp.
  3. Add butter, let foam until slightly brown
  4. Add Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food and sage, and toss with cooked ravioli
  5. 5. Top with parmesan cheese and serve

   Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients (for the cake):
  • 1 box macaroni and cheese meal
  • 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food
Directions:
  1. Follow instructions on box.
  2. When mixing liquid ingredients, add Orchard Blend & Sweet Potato baby food, mix well.
  3. Cook according to instructions on box.

   Apple Carrot Muffins

Ingredients (for the cake):
  • 1 box muffin mix
  • 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Apple Carrot baby food
Directions:
  1. Add Apple Carrot baby food to recommended amount of water from muffin mix.
  2. Follow cooking instructions on muffin mix box.

   Oatmeal and Apple Cookies

Ingredients (for the cake):
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup raisins (optional)
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • Pinch salt
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Apple Pie baby food
  • 1 large egg
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together in one bowl, and the wet ingredients together in another bowl.
  3. Combine the contents of both bowls.
  4. Drop mixture by dessert spoonful onto a greased baking sheet.
  5. Bake until firm, approximately 10 minutes.

   Pear and Banana Muffins

Ingredients (for the cake):
  • ½ cup self-rising flour (or all-purpose, plus ¾ teaspoon baking powder)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Pear baby food
  • 1 4-oz. tub Parent’s Choice Banana baby food
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. milk
  • Pinch of cinnamon
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Whisk the oil and egg together in a bowl until thoroughly combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine cinnamon and flour, then stir in pear baby food.
  4. Gently blend banana baby food with the oil mixture, then combine with flour mixture.
  5. Add milk.
  6. Grease a muffin tray, then spoon in mixture.
  7. Bake for around 20 minutes, or until golden and firm.
